There's been a big movement in R&B towards throwback/90's sounds in the past year or so, and I don't think anyone is doing it as well as Syd. Her new album is awesome, and this is my favorite song on it—mostly because of the uncredited feature by Steve Lacy, an 18–year–old kid who joined Syd's band The Internet before graduating high school and has already produced on J. Cole's most recent album. Beyond his production chops, he has a great singing voice that gives me Pharrell vibes. The song might be about throwing dollar bills at strippers but it FEELS like a love song, and that's what matters.
