Hopeful Emmys upset: I would love for Donald Glover or Maya Erskine to win the Drama edition of Best Actor/Actress for Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
Secret third thing: Not this year, but soon, I’m guessing that indie streamers will be successfully breaking into the awards game.
Name: Bea Hammam
Expected Emmys guess: Shōgun sweeps the drama category. I mean, just look at those nominations.
Hopeful Emmys upset: If Ramy Youssef has no fans, I am dead. I want him to win Best Director for his episode of The Bear.
Secret third thing: To be honest, this year's Emmys don’t excite me. It was not the best season for most of nominees, and I’m looking forward to next year (hello, Fantasmas sweep in 2025.)

Expected Emmys guess: The Bear sweeps the comedy categories, Shōgun sweeps the drama categories, nearly everything else gets unfairly boxed out.
Hopeful Emmys upset: I would like to see some Slow Horses wins, maybe Gary Oldman or Jack Lowden pulling off an acting upset.
Secret third thing: This might be better for next year’s piece, but I think The Bear sweeping comedy this year will lead to massive voter fatigue and a surprise lack of nominations next year.

Expected Emmys guess: Baby Reindeer will snag Best Limited Series, Shōgun and The Bear will sweep their respective categories. We will be bored.
Hopeful Emmys upset: Only Murders in the Building does better than expected. Steve Martin and Martin Short deserve our praises.
Secret third thing: Ayo Edebiri, my queen, will somehow remind all of us of her Irish heritage.

Expected Emmys guess: Shōgun, The Bear, and Baby Reindeer are all locks for series wins.
Hopeful Emmys upset: All I care about is that Hiro Murai gets his Directing Emmy one day. Mr. and Mrs. Smith is no Atlanta, but I don’t care.
Secret third thing: I have not watched most of these shows because I’ve been a big movie person since my reality was torn apart watching the Barry and Succession series finales on the same day. Also, “Joan is Awful,” that new episode of Black Mirror, is awful.
