The Little Baby's Ice Cream stand at Franklin's Table was ordered to cease operations following the Philadelphia Department of Health's attempted inspection, which took place on Friday, Jan. 18 from 1:00 pm to 2:10 p.m.

According to the official Food Facility Inspection Report, the establishment was closed for a violation of health code 46.102—that the "Food Safety person was not present." This is a repeat violation and means that an inspection could not be conducted, which is grounds for a Cease Operations Order. The report remarks that an inspection was not conducted, and that "Due to imminent health hazards observed during this inspection, the establishment has been issued a Cease Operations Order and must discontinue food operations immediately."

Little Baby's Ice cream cannot operate for at least 48 hours after 1:20pm on Jan. 18, and is unable to reopen until a fine of $315 is paid for re–inspection and the violations are corrected. Megan Whalen, an employee at Little Baby's Ice Cream, said the store would be open on Tuesday, Jan. 22, later adding that the inspection would take place on Jan. 22 as well.
