Lululemon will open a "seasonal” store at 37th and Walnut Street in August of 2018. The storefront was previously occupied by Raxx Vintage West, which closed its pop up store in May. While this new storefront is listed as "seasonal" on the website, it is unclear how long it will be open: reps from Lululemon did not respond to an immediate request for comment.
The space has been home to multiple retailers over the years, including American Apparel and Raxx, which was also a seasonal store. Lululemon, known for its up–market designer leggings and "athleisure," joins the other clothing retailers that remain open on campus, including Urban Outfitters and Ann Taylor Loft.
Nathalie Calderon (W’19) thinks that it’s “strategic that it’s opening next to Pottruck.” She jokes that students can get their workout, salad, and their leggings all within a block of each other. But for those of you that can’t wait to get a fresh pair of leggings, there’s already a Lululemon open in Center City.
Street will update this article as we obtain more information.
