Joining the esteemed ranks of Little Baby’s Ice Cream, Goldie, and Pitruco Pizza, DK Sushi (a spin-off of beloved sushi bar DoubleKnot) and High Street Provisions (a version of the American café High Street on Market) have announced their impending arrival at Penn’s Food Hall, located on 34th and Walnut, which is slated to be opened mid–March of this year.
This brings the number of vendors in the 10,000 square–foot space to seven, all “fresh and local” options providing an array of cuisine, from vegan fare to burgers to ice cream. The vendors also include Juice Merchant and Café and Kensington Quarters. The food hall has an indoor seating capacity of 174 and will be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, seven days a week.
At DK Sushi, expect specialty sushi boxes, omakase menus, and a la carte items such as sushi, sashimi, and chirashi bowls by Double Knot chef Kevin Yanaga. Once an order is placed on one of their touch-screen kiosks, your food will be assembled behind the sushi bar. To–go and delivery options will be available, as well as the option to sit at their 8-seat counter.
High Street Provisions will be offering food in a similar vein to that on the menu of High Street on Market's restaurant, so expect delicious all–American items such as baked goods, sandwiches, salads, and Rival Brothers coffee.
This is a breaking story and will be updated as further details emerge.
