Perfection is what we all aspire to, and though Kodaline misses the bullseye, they come very close. Starting the album with their mellow rock tune “One Day” really sets the pace for the album, which takes a dip in the second tune. But after that, the album settles into its own. The harmonica solo at the beginning of “Love Like This” differentiates  Kodaline’s songs from others in the alternative genre. “Big Bad World” offers a more ethereal sound, as opposed to the percussion heavy “Way Back When” and the very lyrical “Talk.” Despite the wide range of songs offered, Kodaline puts their own brand on each, forming a cohesive sound and solid album that will leave any listener satisfied.
