Jake’s Sandwich Board calls their sandwiches the “best pork sandwiches,” and it might actually be true. They got their meat-game down with their perfectly marinated-- rough enough for texture but soft enough to melt in your mouth-- pork. Anything under “Favorites” on their menu is money, but word on the street is that the “Mensche” (slow roasted beef brisket, horseradish sauce, fried onions and provolone, $8.50) changes lives. It also won the “Best of Philly Award” for Best Pork Sandwich. More importantly, there is no minimum or delivery charge, so go forth and order one sandwich to be delivered into your open arms.

All hail hotdog and sausage lovers: Underdogs is new best friend-- they have “Haute Dogs” if you’re feeling extra special and luxurious. The variety of hotdogs they have is impressive and surprising. Mix up your meat and mix up your flavor because Underdogs also provides twelve kinds of dipping sauces such as the Curry Mayo, Pico de Gallo, Georgia Mustard BBQ, etc (first one free, each extra at $0.25). We would suggest getting a group together to order since there’s a minimum charge of $15.00 and a delivery charge of $2.00, but these pups are well worth it.

This would be perfect for a BYO at home-- call up your friends, pop a bottle of wine, and get the fancy Rittenhouse food at the comfort of your home. There is no minimum fee, and the delivery charge is just a whopping $1.00. Save your stomach from the Commons and Houston “sushi”, and get any of their rolls for some quality food. We suggest the eel and avocado roll ($4.75).

This one is sure to be a star among those trying to keep it kosher. Koch’s Deli is well known as the best Jewish Delisin town, and their”Russian dressing” pretty much goes well with any sandwich. Think mayonnaise, but more life-changing. Their most popular dish is the Jewish Hoagie (corned beef, pastrami, spiced beef, kosher salami and American cheese, $10.95), but any of their sandwiches are fair game.
