1. "Crave" Power Plant Basement Thursday at 7 p.m., Friday at 9 p.m., Sunday at 3 p.m. Now that random hookups seem a little less socially acceptable, you’re desperately seeking an outlet for your sexual frustrations. “Crave” is the show for you. This performance straddles the worlds of both improv theater and spoken word poetry as it explores the violent extremes of human emotion.

2. "3 Wishes" Walking Fish Theatre Thursday – Saturday, 7 p.m. While we’re on the topic of sexual frustration, “3 Wishes” addresses the "50 Shades of Grey" phenomenon by spoofing the inexplicably popular novel. But if tall, dark and handsome plumbers and busty protagonists aren’t really your style, at least go for the people–watching: this one should have an interesting crowd…

3. "You Don’t Say" Philadelphia Soundstages Thursday – Saturday, 8 p.m. What’s the only thing better than the circus? Dance, theater and the circus combined, of course. Well, all that minus the lingering scent of elephant poop. “You Don’t Say” presents audiences with a dinner party turned surrealist dance party. And for an added bonus, it features a number of Penn students and staff.

4. "Scout" 155 Cecil B. Moore 2B Monday – Wednesday 8 p.m. What’s good and bad about America, done by everything that’s good about Fringe–style theater. In a half hour and next to no budget, the group ponders patriotism, nuclear energy, the Boy Scouts, and how America’s screwed up (but still manages to be charming). Think "Moonrise Kingdom," theater style.

5. "The Edge of Our Bodies" Studio X Thursday at 7 p.m., Friday at 9 p.m., Saturday at 5 and 8 p.m., Sunday at 3 and 7 p.m. So, your emo, teenaged, diary–keeping days are over. Want to relive them? In “The Edge of Our Bodies,” a boarding school girl reads aloud from a diary that chronicles her inner turmoil as she stumbles toward adulthood. It’s provocative and insightful, and it will make you glad you’re no longer in high school.
