We noticed that some of you are looking shaggy, here's what you can do about it:
Luna 1216 Walnut Street 215.546.5862
Services available for both genders
Price: Haircuts ranging between $45 and $70
Knowledgeable and talented hairdressers with great service make for a very pleasant experience. It's a bit far from campus, but still only a quick SEPTA ride and a nice walk through a cute part of town. It may be a little on the pricy side (especially for guys), but you get what you pay for right?

J. Joseph Anthony 3743 Walnut St. 215.222.9252
Services available for both genders
Price: $30 for women and $24-20 for men
Joseph Anthony may be close enough that you can roll out of bed and stroll right it, but we've heard the service is questionable and the staff can be brusque.
Tip: Make sure you know exactly what you want done when you walk in!

2BGroomed 270 South 11th Street 215.925.3505
Men only
Price: Haircuts ranging between $15 and $35
Student discount: Save up to 25% on all haircuts Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed Note: Don't forget your ID!
Easily accessible with the Market-Frankford line (take it to the 11th St. stop), this place is quick (30 minutes for an appointment), and cozy (jazz music!) The shop is small (only two seats), so appointments are a must but all staff members (Jahmal, Diego, Mahjid) are great and you can schedule online.
Tip: Jahmal is the owner and his appointments are harder to come by, but he's the best.

The studio CL 128 S. 19th St. 215-496-0604
Price Level: Haircuts ranging between $30 and $45+ for men and $50 and $65+ for women
If you're looking for an expert staff and great service this is the place to go! Oh and they do dry cuts here too (no more split ends). We've heard no complaints.
Tip: Try Matt as your stylist! We've heard he's done some work for Dzine2Show.

Jean Madeline Aveda Institute Chestnut Street at 40th 267.350.8800
Services available for both genders
Price: Unbelievably cheap ($8 with student ID)
Not for the faint of heart, Aveda can give you a more-than-decent haircut for less than the cost of a dinner at Hummus. But beware: it's a bunch of people learning to cut hair, so some of them suck. Hard. On the bright side, if you need a trim before a formal there is no need to pay the big bucks when you could get a few inches off here.
Tip: Chat up your stylist to gauge their level and then decide how complicated you want them to get.

AMS Salon Currently located at: 123 S. 16th Street, 2nd Floor Will be moving to: 262 S. 16th street 215-569-1515
Services available for both genders
Price: Haircuts range between $40 and $45 for men and $65 and $100 for women
The staff at AMS is top of the line: knowledgable and helpful! The salon specializes in dry cuts which is especially good if you're looking to grow your hair out! If you're interested in coloring this is this place to go.
Tip: We've heard great things about AMS's colorist Megan. She specializes in balayage, a French technique of hair painting that creates a softer, more natural color.
