It’s official, the weather outside is getting frightful and we’ve said goodbye to the days where cardigans can pass as coats. ‘Tis the season to grab a snuggie, cup of hot chocolate and spend your nights curled up in front of a good movie. Van Pelt is just too far away and you can totally study and watch TV at the same time, totally.
So what’s you favorite movie to curl up with? Catch up on some old and new flicks and vote for your favorite. [poll id="17"]
1. The Holiday (2006): Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz star in this holiday flick in which both women are sick of their cold dreary lives. Things start to look up when they switch homes for the holidays and each find a man to cuddle up with. If only, if only. Warning: leave your heart–broken friends out of this one, unless your down for a touching sob–fest.
2. Big Fish (2003): A son learns about his dying father’s life through his tall tales. Of course, these tales go beyond walking barefoot–uphill–both–ways to school back in his day. Here, we’re taken through stories of giants, siamese twins, and man–eating spiders. Definitely one to keep your imagination going for a while, and it doesn’t even lose that aw–how–sweet element.
3. Love Actually (2003): The stories of eight couples crossover in the pre–Christmas buzz of London. This is the sort of romantic comedy that your boyfriend can’t even complain about. The dynamic cast, including Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson, Keira Knightly and Emma Thompson. keep sex appeal as a top priority throughout the entire tangled plot. If nothing else, shots of Santa–hat–wearing boobs and the British charm of the entire cast should lure in most.
4. Crazy Stupid Love (2011): Stave Carell and Ryan Gosling are men on the market in this new comedy. While the humor could entertain any frat guy, the love–conquers–all moral is enough to melt hearts. Plus, Ryan Gosling and an awkwardly adorable Emma Stone are a couple worth watching.
