Senior Society season continues, as Mortar Board, Omega and Sphinx began pledging this week, much to the delight of the selected juniors. Other students, though, got excited when emails arrived selecting them for another group, the Sodalitas Society. Plenty of enthusiastic applications followed, praising the group as “authentic and mysterious.” Mysterious, maybe, but authentic, no, as the society is a total ruse pulled by some clever sophomores. Elsewhere on the internet, Penn’s tweeters discovered a new account hilariously mocking Theos (#wearerich is now trending). Rumors are swirling that some bitter A’s brothers created the handle, fuming over Theos’ selection of PhiDelt to co–host their Fling downtown. No word if they’re also behind the similar, less funny Tabard account. A certain senior basketball player might want to stick to the court and stay out of the kitchen. Radian residents had a more exciting Sunday night than expected when four fire trucks responded to a culinary mishap. The reason? An attempt at a steak dinner gone horribly wrong. For the most part, Saturday night parties disappointed. Although a number of A’s members at Trinity descended on campus, festivities at Theos and Sigma Chi left a lot to be desired. The real action happened outside, as a sophomore frat star decked a Penn Police officer. We’re not sure what’s worse, the embarrassment or the ensuing legal action coming his way.
