Eiffel Tower Light Show: When Kanye sings about “all of the lights," he’s surely referring to the 81–foot–tall lightbulb filled Eiffel Tower that now dominates the Kimmel Plaza. Le Bateau Lavoir: PIFA comes to the Penn campus by transforming the ICA into a Parisian bohemia for a day. Inspired by the Parisian arts enclave Le Bateau Lavoir, which Picasso was a part of, the program includes music, poetry, art exhibits and conversation. >> April 23rd, 11 a.m.–5 p.m., ICA
Styling a Second Empire: A Light and Sound Experience: Watch City Hall and 14 other buildings along the Avenue of the Arts come to life through moving lights, animated graphics and color–changing effects. Street Fair: Watch Broad Street transform into a Parisian street fair for the grand closing of PIFA. Street vendors, cafe tables, a park, musical performances and a giant Ferris Wheel will take you to a fantasy land of artsy fun.
