PLAINTAIN CHIPS WITH AVOCADO CREAM DIP
Try this variation on the classic guacamole and chips for a delicious change!
Ingredients: 2 green plantains, peeled and sliced 1/8 inch thick 2 avocados, peeled and pitted 3/4 cup Greek yogurt 1/2 cup sour cream 2 tsp honey Juice of 1/2 lime 1 tbsp chopped cilantro salt & pepper
Directions: Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Coat plantains lightly with olive oil and spread on baking sheet. Bake for about 15 minutes, turning over plantains halfway through. Sprinkle with salt and lime zest. Let cool. For the dip, combine remaining ingredients in blender and serve with plantain chips.

Ingredients: 1 can root beer 3 oz vanilla rum 1 scoop vanilla ice cream

These southern–style wings balance sweet and spicy perfectly. They pack all the flavor of your favorite greasy wings but are much healthier since they’re baked instead of fried.
Ingredients: 4 lbs chicken wings 3/4 cup peach jam 1/2 soy sauce 1/4 cup hot sauce 4 tbsp melted butter 2 cloves garlic, chopped Juice of 1 lemonDirections: Whisk together all ingredients except for chicken in a large bowl. Completely submerge chicken wings in marinade. Cover and refrigerate for about two hours. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Place wings on a baking sheet. Bake for 40 minutes, flipping wings over halfway through.
APPLE–CRANBERRY CRUMBLE
This dessert is easy to make and serves a hungry crowd. You can substitute with other fruits, like pears, plums or berries, and it will turn out just as tasty!
Ingredients: 6 medium apples (preferably Granny Smith), peeled, cored, chopped 1/2 bag fresh cranberries 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1 tbsp all–purpose flour 1/2 tsp salt 1 cup chopped pecans 1/3 cup dark brown sugar 1/2 cup light brown sugar 1 cup all–purpose flour 1/2 cup old–fashioned oats 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp salt 1.5 sticks melted unsalted butterDirections: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Stir together first five ingredients in a medium bowl. In another medium bowl, stir together remaining ingredients, except for butter. Mix in melted butter. Spread fruit mixture into a baking dish and top with crumble. Bake for 50 minutes.
