Started just this semester, Penn Jugglers focuses on the practice and teaching of circus-style juggling (and no experience is necessary to join!). Not only will learn how to juggle, but you can also pick up a few other parlor tricks (Diabolo, a form of Chinese yo-yo, anyone?). And if you’re lucky, you may find yourself mastering juggling stunts like the Orbit and the Double Half Suicide.
Because juggling tends to be more fun in groups, Penn Jugglers’ president Jim Grandpere jumped at the chance to form a club for the large number of juggling enthusiasts around campus. Future plans for the club include informal performances, guest appearances by famous jugglers and even a feature-length juggling show. Still in its infancy, the group is fairly informal and has yet to set definite meeting times. But it does exist. Carnies and yo-yo connoisseurs, unite!
