If you’re a sucker for snacks, you’ll think you’ve died and gone to vending machine heaven in the obscure John Morgan Building (behind the Quad, adjacent to Robert Johnson Pavilion). With no less than 10 separate machines, there’s something to satisfy everything from a mild case of the munchies to fullblown hunger pains. Snack time begins with a standard fare of chips and candy (albeit with a large selection), as well as a variety of beverages, including soda, water, Powerade, juices, Red Bull, Monster and even milk.
If you’re still not satiated, fear not, there’s more. You have two choices of frozen meals (conveniently located near two microwaves): a “double beef stacker with cheese” or “meatball sub with garlic parmesan bread.” While we don't encourage a diet full of vending machine meals, few can argue with a $3 sandwich. If that’s not a steal, we don’t know what is. For dessert, choose between eight ice cream sandwiches and top it all off with gourmet coffee courtesy of Wolfgang Puck.
You can enjoy your snack (or double beef stacker, if that’s what you’re into) at one of the tables located across the hall from the machines. But be forewarned: it’s hot down there. Good thing cold drinks are just a few quarters away.
