Despite his overt anti-Semitic tendencies, there’s something undeniably irresistible about Mel Gibson shaving his legs. The premise: hotshot ladies’ man Nick Marshall (Gibson) loses out in a job promotion battle to Darcy McGuire (Helen Hunt) at their advertising firm. Lady-in-charge McGuire imagines female-centered advertising and gives her co-ed employees a sampling of female products to take home and test out.

The movie’s key scene occurs in Marshall’s massively-oversized bathroom when — mid-blow-dry — Marshall slips on the bath salt-covered marble floor and electrocutes himself. In a supernatural twist, Marshall begins to hear women’s inner thoughts. Highly unbelievable, yes, but also fantastically amusing. Oh, did I mention that Marshall’s daughter’s sleazy punk boyfriend is played by Eric Balfour, the most typecast sleazy punk boyfriend ever (yes, he was Eddie on The O.C.)? The subtle line between guilt and pleasure makes WWW the kind of movie you’re always pleased to find on TNT at 4:30 a.m.
