A recap of summer's best happy hour

Every Wednesday this summer, Philadelphia filled its streets with a massive happy hour known as Center City Sips. From 5-7 p.m., trendy bars and restaurants offered midweek drink and appetizer specials to crowds of people dressed in their finest cocktail-hour attire. Here are several popular choices you can recreate at home this fall. Think of it as a way to hold onto the very last threads of a fleeting summer.

Polynesian Cocktail (Roy's)

1.5 oz vodka

3/4 oz cherry brandy

Juice of 1 lime

Powdered sugar

Shake liquor and juice with ice. Rim martini glass with sugar and slice of pineapple.

Melon Ball

(Tokyo Hibachi)

2 oz Midori melon liquor

1 oz vodka

4 oz pineapple juice

Serve in large cocktail glass.

Mexipolitan (El Vez)

2 parts Sauza Blanco tequila

1 part Cointreau

1 part fresh lime juice

Splash of cranberry juice

Shake ingredients with

ice.
