Friday, 1/25: Pilam's Rush Show 3914 Spruce, all ages Stay on Penn's campus and go on over to 3914 Spruce St. for Pilam's rush show. Featuring Philly's own Pony Pants, Brooklyn's The Subjects (coming off of their recent tour with the Walkmen), Cinemasophia, Farcial Hoodwink and the Assistant Principals this is sure to be a crazy (and cheap) dance party. $5
Saturday, 1/26: Super Furry Animals Starlight Ballroom, all ages Welsh band Super Furry Animals returns stateside, bringing their own brand of psychedelic rock to the Starlight Ballroom. Openers Holy Fuck create nontraditional electronic music, crafting electronica-inspired songs without the use of laptops, splicing and looping. Instead, they utilize live instruments and unexpected objects like toy guns and film sequencers. $16
Monday, 1/28: Get Him Eat Him Johnny Brenda's, 21+ Catch fellow Ivy League students Get Him Eat Him at Johnny Brenda's in Fishtown. This exuberant quartet opens for Mahjongg and is supported by Philadelphia's RunRunner. $8.
