Spring is in the air, bringing along warm weather, short skirts and frat boys lounging in front of their house on couches like they're hot shit. Street Film Editors decide to celerate this good season by letting you all know what our favorite spring themed movie is -- because you care about us that much.

Donnie Darko (2001)
Granted, this movie really takes place during Halloween but it does feature a bunny (Frank the Bunny, that is), which is associated with Easter, which is a holiday in the spring. Ergo, Donnie Darko is about spring. Also, the eventual destruction of the universe that occurs in this film makes me appreciate life so much more, which is really the whole point of spring. That, and making babies.

Teen Witch (1989)
Spring to me is the blossoming of things that once lay dormant. No movie portrays that transition better than Teen Witch. As an awkward spring chicken, Louise has trouble fitting in at school and attracting boys. After befriending Zelda, the midget-witch, Louise discovers that she is related to the Salem witches. She uses a Popular Spell to win a jock's heart and trigger "Louise Mania" across the campus. Nothing is more touching than when Louise uses her powers to give her best friend the power to enter a rap battle with Dude-atude, telling them to "Top that!"

The Producers (1968)
"Springtime for Hitler and Germany ..." Some people associate springtime with babies, rain, romance, sun and skin. But I hear the word springtime and start singing The Producers with visions of Nazi fairies dancing in my head. Although the recent remake flopped at the box office, check out the original 1968 version starring Zero Mostel and Gene Wilder as Bialystock and Bloom. And start laughing, dancing, and singing your way into spring. "Happy birthday Hitler"
