Dead Poets Society

While spring might not have yet sprung, our poet laureates were inspired by the promise of ultimate frisbee and allergy season. Shield your eyes, Walt Whitman; these poems are anything but organic.

Ode to a Bandage Skirt

My mind never wavers as I stare at your being
Wrapping around the present true and tight
At parties omnipresent, of love guaranteeing
Graciously riding upwards throughout the night

Part 1
Locust Walk of shame
The sun is brighter than you
Choose another path

Part 2
Why do you do it?
Ankle, wobbling in heels
Cobblestone’s a bitch

You Taunt Me So
Two essays, a thousand words
Have all the time in the world—
Hey, this video looks fun

To My BBM Contacts
So full of suspense
Do I read or not read it?
That is the question

Planned Parenthood
Dear U.S. voters
Your youth has lots of sex, so
Please give us free lube

Behind the Music
Jenny from the block
Thank you for teaching me that
Love don’t cost a thing

This Is Just To Say
I have eaten
the stuffed pretzels
that were in
the warming tray

and which
you were probably
trying
to sell

Forgive me
it’s not my fault
this line
is so long

Pick Up
Thy beauty does affix mine eyes
Betwixt them with a most pleasing visage
Has thou fallen from the heavens?
Aye, this can only be the truth
Because honey, your ass is out of this world
